The story began in the 14th century, when artisans who travelled with Timur's army settled in Khurja and brought their pottery skills with them. What started as simple red clay vessels has, over six hundred years, evolved into one of India's most distinctive ceramic traditions.
At Khurja Pottery Hub, we work directly with master potters whose families have shaped clay in this town for generations.
